WICHITA, Kan, (KNSS) - Wichita police were led on a chase from an East side hotel to Rose Hill Tuesday morning.

Police were called to the English Village Inn in the 6700 block of East Kellogg at about 5:30 to the report of a disturbance with a weapon. When officers arrived, a witness told them they observed a man and a woman force another woman into a silver Volkswagen at gunpoint.

Police spotted the vehicle, and attempted to pull it over, but the driver accelerated. As Wichita police persued the vehicle, other agencies were called to assist.

The chase ended at Rosewood and Rose Hill Road in the city of Rose Hill when the suspect vehicle crashed.

The 30 year old male suspect fled the scene, but was captured shortly at an address near the crash scene. The 26 year old female suspect was taken into custody at the scene. The victim had minor injuries and was taken to a Wichita hospital for treatment.

Police don't know why the suspects abducted the woman, or why they led police on a chase that crossed a county line.

All parties involved are being interviewed as the investigation continues.
