Police:  Suspect charged in Wichita homicide

The Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office has charged Marco Carrillo-Fuentes, 31 of Wichita with 2nd Degree murder in the stabbing death of Rickey Mason, 32, of Wichita. 

At around 4:00 p.m. Sunday, officers were called to the report of a cutting at a residence in the 1000 block of South Richmond.  The officers located Mason, who subsequently died on the scene.

The investigation revealed that a disturbance broke out in which Carrillo-Fuentes produced a knife and stabbed Mason. 

Police said this was not a random incident.
