Public meeting announced with new Sedgwick County Manager

February 12, 2019 - 4:42 am

Sedgwick County Commissioners have scheduled a Wednesday meeting for residents to ask questions and learn more about County Manager designee Tom Stolz. Commissioners will meet with residents from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Sedgwick County Zoo Cargill Learning Center. Stolz will also attend to share his insights on moving Sedgwick County forward and take questions.

During its public meeting last week, the Board of County Commissioners voted to appoint Stolz as the Sedgwick County Manager, pending negotiation of a contract, without a search for more candidates.

Stolz was named Interim County Manager in December after serving as Deputy Manager since May 2017. Prior to joining the County government, Stolz spent 31 years with the Wichita Police Department, retiring as deputy chief.
