Trailing 3 to nothing in the 8th, Humberto Arteaga started the ralley off Twins Reliver Tayor Rogers with a single and advanced to second on a wild pitch.

Cam Gallagher then walked. After Merrifield struck out and Lopez flied out to center, Alex Gorden doubled in Arteaga, and Hunter Dozier singled scoring Gallagher and Gorden to tie the game up.

Ian Kennedy got the Twins out in order in the top of the ninth, but it all went for naught as Minnesota scored 2 runs in the top of the tenth off Wily Peralta who took the loss.

Danny Duffy started and pitched 8 innings for the Royals giving up 6 hits and 3 earned runs while striking out 4.

The series wraps up tomorrow afternoon at Kaufman Stadium.
