Sedgwick County Commissioners did not make any statements concerning Governor Kelly's upcoming orders for wearing masks in public.

The executive order should be released Thursday, and since Friday is an official state and federal holiday, commissioners would have to wait until next week to tackle the issue if they choose.

In other county news, the commission approved a 6 month, $133 thousand lease for the old Armory building at 620 N. Edgemoor in Wichita. The county will set up a drive-through testing site to replace the temporary tent structure the county has been using so far. The site would allow for 6 cars in the facility at one time.

The county will spend $15 thousand for networking and security of the structure, with all of the work expected to be completed within a week.

The county also reminded residents for fireworks complaints through the Fourth of July weekend, do not call 911. Citizens should instead call the Sedgwick County non-emergency line at 316-290-1011. That number will be in use now through July 5th, between 6 p.m. and 3 a.m.

For all regular emergencies, please call 911.
