We'll be watching the radar closely this afternoon and tonight.

The Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Oklahoma has placed much of Central and Western Kansas in a slight risk for severe thunderstorms this afternoon and tonight. They say storms are expected to develop in eastern Colorado during the early afternoon hours, then move across parts of the state during the late afternoon and evening hours. Large hail, strong winds and heavy rains will be the main threats with the activity.

The stormy night is just the start of what could be a wet week for much of Kansas.

As always, stay with KNSS and we'll keep you advised of any watches or warnings that may impact the listening area.
