No injuries reported as storms caused damage Wednesday night in Ellis County, in northwest Kansas.
Authorities say St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ellis was damaged after the roof of St. Mary's school blew off and into the church. Ellis County Undersheriff Scott Brown told KSN News non-essential personnel were being asked to stay away from the area of the church.
Two homes also sustained damage as a result of high winds and downed trees. Two farms reported outbuildings destroyed and leveled in Ellis County. Authorities say numerous power lines were also downed, causing power outages in the county.
