June 15, 2018 - 12:18 pm

The District Attorney's office says a man has been sentenced for sexually assaulting teenage boys.

29-year-old Frank Carbis III of Wichita was sentenced to more than a decade in prison after being convicted of four counts of criminal sodomy, two counts of sexual exploitation of a child, and two counts of indecent solicitation of a child. Under Kansas sentencing guidelines, the penalty is the maximum Carbis could receive.

The crimes occurred in Wichita in late August of 2016 and involved two boys, 14 and 15 years old.

District Judge Seth Rundle also sentenced Carbis to lifetime post release after prison and ordered that he register as a sex offender for the remainder of his life.
