Six injured in Wichita car crashes

WICHITA, Kan. (KNSS UPDATE) - A pair of accidents has injured as many as six people, one critically.  Officials said that the injuries happened in separate but related accidents in south Wichita.

They happened around 9:15 p.m. Wednesday night on MacArthur between Meridian and West Street.

Police said that in the first accident, two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision.  The second accident involved a vehicle striking a pedestrian.

One person was transported to a hospital with critical injuries.  Four people were reported to have suffered serious injuries and one person was said to have minor injuries.

Both accidents remain under investigation. 



WICHITA, Kan. (KNSS) - Four people were injured in a car crash in southwest Wichita.  It happened just after 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night near MacArthur and Meridian.

Police said that two people recieved critical injures, while two others were reported in serious condition.

Additional details on the accident were not immideately available.
