Some stolen property was recovered by Wichita police, after a traffic stop near Lincoln & Hydraulic.

Last Saturday, a patrol officer spotted a car with a stolen tag, pulling it over in the 1000 block of S. Ellis. The driver of the car was a 54-year-old man, and there were two passengers in the car, a woman and a man. Police discovered brass knuckles in the car, and other items related to crimes as far back as five years ago. Inside the car, officers located illegal weapons, drug paraphernalia, and multiple pieces of mail, debit cards, identification cards, Social Security cards, and birth certificates. Most of the stolen items were tied to crimes committed last year, and one of the stolen documents was related to a criminal case from the year 2013.

The woman was booked into jail on an aggravated weapons violation, possession of a narcotic instrument, and possession of stolen property. The driver of the car was arrested for driving with a suspended license, and an illegal-tag violation.
