Storms bring heavy rain to parts of Kansas

Severe storms bringing heavy rain rolled through parts of the state Tuesday evening. 

Some water rescues were reported in Pratt County where up to 7 inches of rain fell.  There were no reports of any injuries.

There was the report of a week tornado on the ground about six miles south of Isabel, in Barber County, for a short amount of time.  There were no reports of damage or injuries. 

South-central Kansas escaped the heavy storms that hit the western part of the state. The National Weather Service reports three-hundredths of an inch of rain near Wichita's Eisenhower Airport.
