Police have arrested a suspect in a homicide Tuesday morning on Wichita's west side. Lt. Christian Cory says 22-year-old Christian Wohlford was arrested after a traffic stop in southeast Wichita. He is held in the killing of 42-year-old Jeremy Hutchens. Lt. Cory says officers responded to a report of "shots fired" Tuesday morning in the 500 block of north Edwards. Lt. Cory says Hutchens and Wohlford met to make a "property transaction" in 2700 block of west Newell. A disturance occurred and Wohlford allegedly shot Hutchens, who did at the scene. A female in the car was not injured. Wohlford is held on charges of second-degree murder, aggravated assault, and criminal possession of a firearm.
