December 20, 2018 - 10:19 am

The Wichita Police Department arrested a 22-year-old man on charges of aggravated highway robbery, resisting arrest, and outstanding warrants.

After 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a disturbance-with-weapons call at the apartments in the 3800 block of E. 16th Street North. Upon arrival, officers contacted a 26-year-old female victim; she stated she arrived at the apartments and was approached by the arrestee and another unknown suspect. The 22-year-old man pointed a gun at her and demanded she exit her vehicle. The victim refused, and the two suspects ran away.

Officers began circulating the area and located the 22-year-old hiding in a vehicle in the 1500 block of N. Gentry; he was arrested and booked into jail.

The case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office.
