June 04, 2019 - 2:15 pm

The Wichita Police Department has arrested a 13-year-old boy, a 14-year old boy, and an 18-year-old for a half-dozen counts of criminal damage to property.

At approximately 1:45 a.m. Tuesday, officers were dispatched to a vandalism-in-progress call in the 5200 block of E. Pine (northwest of Central & Edgemoor) where it was reported that suspects were breaking vehicle windows with baseball bats.

Information from multiple witnesses led officers to a residence nearby in the 600 block of N. Battin where the three suspects were found hiding in the home. The three teenagers were arrested, and officers located baseball bats believed to be used in the crimes.

Six vehicles were located in the area with windows damaged.

This marks two days in a row in which a trio of male teenagers were arrested in Wichita after crime sprees in the middle of the night.
