May 23, 2020 - 9:30 am

In a press release Saturday morning, Sedgwick County announced that three COVID-19 clusters, comprised of two businesses and one church, are no longer active and considered closed. These three clusters accounted for 26 COVID-19 cases.

KNSS News has asked the county what businesses and church was cleared but so far have not heard back from county officials.

There are seven clusters of COVID-19 still active in the community. A cluster is considered active until all cases have been recovered for at least two consecutive 14-day periods.

There are a total of 27 cases associated with the churches clusters; 129 cases associated with the long-term care clusters; there are 25 cases linked to the business clusters; and 53 cases related to the correctional facility cluster.

The county says their COVID-19 data dashboard is updated to reflect current cluster data.

In all, there have been 545 total cases of COVID-19 in the county, up 3 from Thursday. There are still 124 active cases and 21 deaths have been reported. 400 people have recovered.
