Three dead in 3 separate fatal traffic accidents Sunday in Kansas

Three men are dead after three separate fatal traffic accidents Sunday, two in western Kansas and one in south-central Kansas.

One man is dead, another in critical condition after a traffic accident in Arkansas City.  Arkansas City Police say it happened just after midnight early Sunday morning on South Summit Road. A car traveling at approx. 90 mph went airborne over some railroad tracks and hit several telephone poles.  The driver and a passenger were thrown from the vehicle.  One man died at the scene, the other was airlifted to a Wichita hospital.  Police say alcohol may have been a factor in the accident.

A man from Hugoton died and four others were injured in a crash in Stevens County Sunday morning south of Moscow, Kan.  66-year-old Asuncion Jimenez died at the scene of the accident.  The Highway Patrol reports Jimenez was not wearing a seat belt. The four survivors were buckled up.

One man is dead, a teenager injured after a roll-over accident in Stafford County Sunday night southeast of Stafford.  51-year-old Marvin Julian of Stafford was taken to Stafford County Hospital where he died.  A 13-year-old passenger was taken in critical condition to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
