Three people okay after bumpy landing

Three people are okay after taking a bumpy landing at Hutchinson Regional Airport Saturday.

The incident happened just after 6:00 p.m. Saturday evening.  A spokesperson for the airport said it appeared the landing gear did not deploy, potentially causing the small plane to skid before coming to a stop.

Hutchinson Police and EMS responded; however, the three people on board, including the pilot, were not hurt. A wrecker from Galva helped to remove the plane from the runway. Until then, the runway was shut down, forcing other flights to re-route, including one flight that was carrying Kansas Lt. Governor Jeff Colyer.

An airport spokesperson said the airport never declared an emergency landing. The flight's intended destination was Hutchinson Regional Airport.
