Time is running out for cities and states to spend the CARES ACT federal money for pandemic relief. Wichita Mayor Brandon Whipple tells KNSS News the City will designate over $5 million more than in the past for homeless outreach.

At Tuesday's meeting, the Wichita City Council will consider raising water and sewer rates by just over five percent. Part of the money will go for the new water treatment plant and to improve infrastructure. Mayor Brandon Whipple says raising those rates now will result in more stable rates in the future.

The City Council will consider a revised year-end budget  ... with tax revenue impacted by the pandemic. Mayor Brandon Whipple says the City is looking at $25 million in budget cuts over the next two years,

Whipple commented during Mondays with the Mayor ... on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
