Topeka woman arrested in Wichita homicide

Police in Topeka have arrested a woman wanted in connection with a murder in Wichita.

After a stand-off Saturday at a home in southeast Topeka, Police and the Swat team arrested 36-year-old Bobbie Williams-Cox.

Topeka Police went to the home to assist the Wichita Police Department with their investigation.

It all began 7 p.m. Thursday when WPD found 30-year-old Blake Mayes dead on the front porch of a home in the Delano neighborhood. Investigators said there was some sort of disturbance between Mayes and his girlfriend Williams-Cox that also involved 51-year-old William Moore and 28-year-old Jesse Sweeney.

On Friday, William Moore was arrested on charges of criminal possession of a firearm by a felon, domestic battery, and murder in the first degree.

Jesse Sweeney has yet to be located.
