During a span of 23 hours on Saturday & Sunday, there were eight businesses robbed throughout Wichita, part of two different crime sprees, and an isolated heist.

The initial spree included four gas stations robbed on Saturday evening: at the Kwik Shop at 29th & Arkansas; another Kwik Shop at Hydraulic & MacArthur; a third Kwik Shop at 47th South & Clifton; and the Quik Trip at 31st South & K-15 -- all four of those robberies took place in less than an hour.

Investigators generally describe the suspect in these cases as an unknown race man wearing a gray hoodie with a large Nike emblem on the front, gray sweatpants, dark shoes, gloves, wearing a skull or monkey mask with white teeth, and armed with a black handgun. That suspect is still outstanding.

The next spree took place during the 8:00 a.m. hour on Sunday, which three gas stations robbed, including the Kwik Shop at Oliver & George Washington Boulevard; Phamily Express near Pawnee & Washington; and American Gas at Harry & Hydraulic. Within two hours of the Sunday robberies, police arrested a 17-year-old boy near Southeast Boulevard & Pawnee, and a 16-year-old boy near Harry & Greenwich; those two teenagers were booked into the Juvenile Detention Center for the Sunday robberies, on three counts of aggravated robbery.

The final robbery of the weekend occurred early Sunday evening at the Subway sandwich shop at Pawnee & Seneca.
