UPDATE: Wichita Police find missing girl safe

UPDATE:  The Wichita Police Department released the following statement:

The Wichita Police Department (WPD) has located  Anyla James, 2, who was found safe Monday evening. WPD would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance in locating Anyla. WPD continues to investigate this case and will provide updates accordingly.


Wichita Police are asking for the public's help to find 2-year-old Anyla James.  Anyla was reported missing Sunday night, police say she is believed to be in danger and may be with father, Alton James, Jr.  Anyla is a 2-year-old black female about 3 feet tall and weighs 40 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.  She was last seen in the 2300 block of North Woodlawn, wearing a pink shirt, white leggings with red hearts and pink shoes. 

Police say that based on the information currently available, this case does not yet meet the KBI Amber Alert requirements, but anyone with information is asked to call 911 immediately.
