Wichita City council members heard four different presentations during Tuesday's consent agenda meeting and workshop.

The council heard a proposal to dedicate 1% of the capital improvement project's annual budget to future public art work around the city.  The amount spent is not currently tracked and council member James Clendenin said that doing so is wise.

"We just need to be transparent and accountable with the public on where that money is going and I think this is a good mechanism to do that ", he said.

The council also heard about a plan to help reduce the city's feral cat population. The item will go back to the district advisory board before formally going in front of the council.

A code enforcement pilot project which started last fall in District 3 was discussed as well.

Finally, the council looked at a plan for maintaining city infrastructure while also developing strategies to reduce costs.
