At Tuesday's meeting the Wichita City Council plans to amend the lease on the former Gander Mountain building near downtown. Mayor Jeff Longwell tells KNSS News the plan is for King of Freight to move in and "give that area a little bit of life" and add as many as 900 new jobs.
The mayor also says the construction crew is making good progress in bulding the city's new stadium, in spite of recent rains. He says "they're planning on taking the steel up in the air at the end of this month".
Longwell commented during Mondays with the Mayor ... on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show on KNSS.
