Three teenage boys were arrested after a crime spree in Wichita.

Late Tuesday afternoon, a 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old bought drinks at the U.S. gas station in the 2600 block of N. Hillside. Afterwards they were loitering, and employees asked them to leave. About a half-hour later, the teens came back, battered a 49-year-old employee, and damaged property in the store.

Police located and arrested those two teens nearby in Grove Park, and the investigation led to the arrest of another 16-year-old boy; all three are suspected of being involved in a burglary at about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday the Westway Marketplace in the southwest part of Wichita, at Pawnee & Seneca.

The teens were all taken into custody on various charges, including burglary, aggravated robbery, aggravated battery, and destruction of property.

These were among seven arrests of minors on Tuesday in Wichita, including a 14-year-old girl for child endangerment and aggravated assault; a 15-year-old girl for an arson at Wichita South High School; a 15-year-old girl for fighting; and a 17-year-old boy for possession of methamphetamines.
