Wichita Crime Stoppers asks for help in solving a robbery

Wichita and Sedgwick County Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help in solving a outdoor robbery.

It happened around 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24 at the pedestrian bridge over Kellogg at Chautauqua.  

A woman, 45, and her daughter, 16, were out for a walk and were met by two suspects walking down the ramp.

"They grabbed the females and pushed them against the fence, pointing guns at them and demanding property," said Officer Kevin Wheeler.  

"One of the victims gave the suspects her phone, and the suspect let them go," Wheeler added.  

The suspects were last seen walking south on Chautauqua.

One suspect was described as a black man, 6' tall, 160 lbs., with a slender build and medium complexion.   He was wearing a white hoodie with a beanie or bandana on his head.

The second suspect was also described as a black man, 6' tall, 160 lbs., with a slender build and medium complexion.  He was wearing a red hoodie with a beanie or bandana.
