Wichita Crime Stoppers is asking for help to solve an armed robbery at a fast food restaurant.

The robbery took place around 11:15 p.m. on May 27th at the Popeye's Restaurant at 13th and Hillside.  The suspect spent over twelve minutes casing the store from the outside, before attempting to enter.  At one point the suspect attempted to enter through the drive up window, but found it to be locked.  He eventually entered the store by throwing a rock through the outside and inside doors.

The suspect jumped over the counter, holding a firearm ordering the four employees to the ground.  "He then demanded that the manager open the safe," said Wichita Police Officer Kevin Wheeler.  "He was then forced to put cash into a plastic bag," he added.

The suspect climbed out of the drive-through window and ran off to the east.  There were no injuries.
