Wichita and Sedgwick County Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help in solving an armed robbery at a car wash.

The incident took place on Wednesday October 30, at around 8:00 p.m. at the Zips Car Wash in the 700 block of north Webb Rd.

Two employees were performing closing duties around the drive through kiosk when a man approached from a tree line, demanding money.

"The suspect told him to put the dispensers down while pointing a gun at him," said Officer Kevin Wheeler.  The suspect put the dispensers into a navy blue and white duffel bag, before running off with an undetermined amount of cash.  There were no injuries.

The suspect was described as a black man, 6'3" tall, with black hair.  He was wearing a black hoodie, black sweats, and a red camouflage bandana covering his face.
