Wichita Crime Stoppers asks for the public’s help in solving multiple burglaries

Wichita and Sedgwick County Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help in solving a series of three robberies at the same Subway sandwich shop.

They all took place on Saturday October 20, between 12:20 a.m. and 4:35 a.m. at the Subway in the 300 block of east Pawnee

It began with three young men throwing a rock through the entrance door.  They entered the store but were unable to open the cash drawer.  They turned their attention to stealing stole bottled drinks and other snacks.  The total loss to the business, including the door was $1,100.  Two of the three individuals have been arrested in the case.

The second burglary took place around 4:15 a.m. on the same morning when a young man riding a bike entered through the same broken window.  He used a trash can to carry out additional bottles and chips.  However, he returned a short time later with a second young man and removed additional items from the store.  Both were wearing grey hoodies.

The third robbery took place at around 4:45 a.m. when another individual rode up on a bike and stole food and drinks.  After leaving he too returned a few minutes later with a box to carry out additional snacks.
