Wichita and Sedgwick County Crime Stoppers are asking for the public's help in solving a recent armed robbery at an area Family Dollar Store.

It happened around 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, October 1st, at the store in the 5100 block of east 21st street.

Police Officer Kevin Wheeler says two suspects entered the business and ordered the employee go behind a counter and open a register to get some cash.

"The employee complied, gave them cash, and then they both fled out of the business," Wheeler said.  They left the parking lot in an unknown passenger van.

There were no injuries.  The only loss was an undetermined amount of money from the register.
