June 04, 2019 - 10:47 pm

Wichita Crime Stoppers is asking for help to solve a series of thefts from a Wichita church/school.

The latest of three thefts took place at the Life Prep Academy, part of the Word of Life Church complex near I-235 and Seneca in mid-May.

"Thieves broke into a shed at the complex and stole several bundles of electrical wiring," said Wichita Police Officer Kevin Wheeler.  "The wiring had recently been purchased to replace wiring that had been vandalized in another case back in March," he added.

Thieves in that case, cut the wires to a main box and all of the floodlights at the field.  Damage in that incident was placed at $130,000.

Thieves also broke into a storage shed taking golf carts and tools that were used by various teams, not just the Life Prep Academy.
