Wichita Crime Stoppers is asking for help to solve a hit and run that injured a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

It happened on Friday, July 12, at around 8:15 p.m., at Harry and Broadway.  Officers were called and discovered a woman, 77, had been seriously injured while in the crosswalk.

Police Officer Kevin Wheeler says she was transported to an area hospital, with multiple broken bones.

"Eyewitnesses stated that the vehicle involved was traveling north on Broadway, and turned left to go west on Harry," Wheeler said.

"Witnesses also said the suspect vehicle turned into the parking lot at Walgreens at the north west corner, but quickly left," he added.

Police believe the vehicle to be a silver Chevy Malibu, and likely has front end damage on the driver’s side.
