Wichita Crime Stoppers reports a record month in solving crimes

The Wichita-Sedgwick County Crime Stoppers program is reporting having one of its most successful monts in October.  On Tuesday, the Advisory Committee approved $3,550 in cash rewards for anonymous tipsters, with one homicide related tip approved for $1,000 alone.

Anonymous tips led to thirteen individuals being arrested on felony related crimes, including felony warrants.  Tips also helped seize six guns, one of which was stolen.

Three suspects were arrested for criminal possession of a firearm.  Crime Stoppers tips also led to the arrest of two suspects who robbed the same Fidelity Bank location in September and October.  

Drug tips also led to the seizure of nearly $10,000 in drugs and over $56,000 in cash.
