Wichita man arrested in shooting

Wichita Police arrested 30-year-old Terrell J. Parker of Wichita for attempted first degree murder from an incident last Wednesday.

It happened at approximately 2:40 a.m. Wednesday in the 5100 block of E. Harry. Wichita Police arrived to find a 32-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his face. He was transported to a local hospital, where he remains with a serious but non-life-threatening injury.

The investigation revealed a disturbance broke out between the victim and Parker, who fired a gun, striking the 32-year-old.

Parker has also been arrested and convicted on charges that include aggravated battery and possession of drugs.

The investigation continues and the case will be presented to the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office.
