Wichita man survives gunshot wound to face

A Wichita man has been released from a local hospital after being treated for a gunshot wound to his face.    

At 1:40 a.m., police responded to a shooting call at a home near the 4100 block of East Whitney.

When they arrived on scene, they found a 33-year man who sustained a gunshot wound to his face.

It was reported that the man had been walking in the area of Ross Parkway and Whitney, when an unknown suspect shot him.   

This incident is not believed to be drug related or random.
