Last week the grassroots "Save Century II" group delivered more than 17,000 signatures to Wichita's City Hall ... on a petition for public votes before buildings of "historical importance or architectural significance" are demolished. Wichita Mayor Brandon Whipple tells KNSS News the group did a good job, gathering signatures during the pandemic.

And despite alarming new surges in COVID-19 cases across the U-S, Mayor Brandon Whipple tells KNSS News he's hopeful about the battle on the local front. He says if people wear their masks and "we take this disease seiously and do it right", we can get "our kids back to school in the fall".

Whipple commented during Mondays with the Mayor ... on the Steve and Ted in the Morning Show ... on KNSS.
