The police officer who shot Andrew Finch, during what turned out to be a swatting call in 2017, is now suing the City of Wichita.

The lawsuit was filed by Justin Rapp late Thursday afternoon for breach of contract.  In the lawsuit, Rapp claims he was kept on restricted duty after he had been cleared of any wrongdoing in the shooting.  And after being medically cleared, twice.

The lawsuit also alleges that the officer was not allowed to work as a part-time security officer following the shooting.

Rapp claims that this caused him to lose out on over $30,000 in wages.  He's now asking for that money, plus interest.

The city has not yet responded to the lawsuit.
