Wichita Police need help finding a murder victim's body

Wichita Police are asking the publics help finding a possible murder victims body.

Captain Brent Allred says police received a tip on December 29th that 53 year-old Jeffery Hill of Wichita was involved in a criminal homicide earlier in the month in the 2100 block of South Water. 

The victims body was taken from the scene and buried outside of Wichita.

Police gathered enough information to arrest Hill near Merton and Seneca on Monday.

Allred says when officers they stopped Hill's vehicle, he fled and led police on a foot chase but was arrested a short distance away.

During the traffic stop, officers discovered and recovered methamphetamine, narcotics, and marijuana.

Captain Allred says Hill was charged with 2nd degree murder, possession of meth with intent to sell, possession of marijuana, and resisting arrest.

The victim is identified as 50 year-old Jeffery Jones of Hutchinson. 

Police ask anyone with information in this case to call detectives at 268-4407, or Crimestoppers at 267-21-11.
