Wichita State University is preparing to launch a new redesigned web page that university officials hope will increase out-of-state student enrollment totals.

The Wichita Eagle reports the university looks to launch its revamped website sometime next week. The website will have new features including a streamlined home page, an interactive campus map, a virtual tour of the campus and links to every major, minor and graduate degree offered at the university.

Tim Hart, the director of web and new media for the university's office of strategic communications, says the goal of the redesigned website is to reach out more directly to prospective students, specifically those who are outside the state of Kansas.

Part of the university's new marketing strategy will target the cities of Dallas, Oklahoma City, Kansas City and Tulsa along the "I-135 corridor."
