Woman injured in south Wichita house fire

A house fire early Sunday in Wichita left a woman with critical injuries.

It happened around 1:45 a.m., in the 1600 block of west Dallas Street, which is southwest of the intersection of Pawnee and Seneca in south Wichita.

KAKE-TV reports the fire appears to have started in the rear of the home and then spread to the attic.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for her injuries.

We don't know what started the blaze and a damage isn't available at this time.
