WSU will cut funds to pay for new business building

April 28, 2019 - 11:14 am

To help pay for it, the university will cut around $1.5 million a year from the general use budget.

This comes after the student body voted in March against doubling the campus infrastructure fee.  The increased fees would have helped raise around $38.5 million.

Budget cuts will help cover the annual cost of a $20 million bond.  $30 million in private gifts to the university will cover the remaining amount.

Cuts will affect the School of Business, Office of Research and Technology Transfer, the Division of Academic Affairs, other divisions and Athletics.
